Galeries Lafayette

In one of our most ambitious projects, we partnered with Galeries Lafayette Haussmann to create a multi-layered AR activation, blending history, architecture, and immersive storytelling. Distributed via custom maps of Paris handed out in the city’s most iconic venues, a single QR code unlocked four distinct AR experiences, directly accessible on mobile. Each of them invites users into a different facet of the Galeries Lafayette story. One experience offers a 360° 3D time-travel immersion, letting users step back into key moments of the past—walking virtually through the grand eras of architectural evolution, from Neo-Byzantine to Art Deco and Haussmannian styles. Another reconstructs the famous rooftop landing of Jules Védrines’ plane, in 3D, allowing users to relive the incredible feat as if they were there in 1919. Other scenes reveal the construction and renovation of the legendary glass dome, as well as interactive content and storytelling around the design of the façades and the historical transformation of the building through the decades. Rather than highlighting a single scene, this project shines through the coherence and richness of all four experiences, offering a poetic, educational and emotional journey through one of Paris’ most iconic institutions.
